An exciting opportunity to join a long-established Lloyd's broker in a Risk Manager with Compliance role. This role would ideally suit a Risk Analyst looking to step up or an experienced Risk Manager. This challenging and varied role encompasses Risk, Audit,Compliance and a focus on relationship management: Risk Management: Ensure Risk Framework and Risk Register are developed, managed and maintained Review emerging risk and monitor changes in regulation, risk framework, law, market and statutory requirements in order to document Risk Appetite and role out appropriate controls within the risk register, in line with sound business practices Risk Assessments and to provide an independent view of the control owners perceived level of risk To maintain a risk event register and review with appropriate functions to complete actions In conjunction with Compliance and Operations review the risk event register for lessons learned and any changes needed to controls or procedures With CRO case manage potential risk events, in particular potential E&O claims Assist with TC 2.4 Scenario Analysis To promote Risk Culture and message including best practice Internal Audit/Other Auditors: Facilitate and assist to manage the outsourced function with CRO Assist the CRO to ensure the Risk and Audit Committee and Board are kept informed of the businesses progress Assist the CRO to ensure that other auditors recommendations and actions are managed and concluded appropriately within the business Compliance: Assist the CRO with assessment of the Compliance function, monitoring compliance with FCA rules and Risk Framework To identify deficiencies which may present a compliance or business risk to the Company To promote compliance with company policies Relationship Management: Sustain strong relationships with board members, peers and colleagues Assist in the effective management of relationships with providers and key industry peers
