Junior Accountant Salary circa £28,000 (DOE) Redruth - Cornwall Permanent - Full Time Are you ACCA qualified? Our client, based in Redruth, are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company's finances. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the junior accountant's day-to-day work. You will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with figures, displaying excellent attention to detail. Day to day responsibilities will include; Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices Management of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations Supervision of the team of Accounts Assistants Assisting in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines Updating financial data on the company CRM Assisting Senior Accountant with other projects Person Specification Proven work experience as a Junior Accountant Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Excellent knowledge of MS Office ACCA qualified would be ideal but we can also consider fully AAT qualified candidates Hours of work will be 8.30am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
