OVERVIEW Our client is a leading player in the UK Oil and petrochemical sector. They produce over 16% of the UK's transport fuels and have formed a new company to manage the refinery operations. Based near Liverpool with ambitious growth plans from a current position of 27 employees and c£100m t/o p.a. They are searching for a CFO to take them through this exciting stage of development. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accurate, timely and meaningful reporting of financial performance of the Company on periodic basis Delivery of annual budget and rolling forecasts for the business Build out the Finance function and oversee the smooth transition of Accounting and Financial Services Implementation of financial controls and compliance processes to meet stakeholder requirements Involvement in special projects including Acquisitions/Divestments, funding and new project investment appraisals Responsible for the annual audit and preparation of financial statements Key role in stakeholder management requirements with investors, lenders and auditors Main point of contact for all tax related items including submissions of direct and indirect tax returns and making payments to the tax authorities Lead customer and vendor contract negotiations and management from a Finance perspective Manage Treasury and Cash flow requirements for the business REQUIREMENTS Proven track record in a senior finance role within Oil, Energy, Petrochemical, Lubricants, Logistics or Manufacturing sector. Experience or significant exposure to: Mergers and Acquisitions Investor Relations Practical experience in controls and the general controls framework in large manufacturing industry Experience with SAP-structures and processes (FI) Ability to influence others with significant management and leaderships capabilities - establishing strong working relationships quickly Strong communication and relationship skills.
