Macildowie Finance are currently recruiting on an exclusive and retained basis for a Financial Controller on behalf of a Financial Services business based in Leicestershire. The role is being recruited as a result of an internal promotion and will afford the successful individual exposure to a variety of key decision makers and stakeholders within the organisation This role will suit a technically astute Controller with strong previous experience within a Financial Services organisation. This business has a tight knit workforce and an excellent reputation for staff development and retention. Responsibilities will include: Managing all accounting and treasury activities within the organisation, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and regulatory bodies - FCA and PRA. Leadership, management, coaching and development of the finance team. Lead on all month end close activities - ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of all business reporting. Presenting month end reporting and supporting variance analysis to the Senior Leadership team. Lead on all year end Statutory accounts production. Educating the wider finance function on controls/regulatory updates and their ramifications Lead on and coordinate the relationship with the external audit partner. Work with the Senior Leadership team to inform key strategic decisions regarding the future of the business. Take a lead on all budgeting and forecasting activity. To be considered for this role you must be ACA or ACCA Qualified and ideally have experience within the Financial Services sector. Experience of statutory reporting (FRS 102) and treasury management is essential.
