I am currently recruiting for my client based just outside Chester. There is the need for someone to join the team on a 6 month contract basis, with an immediate start available for the right candidate. Very attractive hours 35 hours / week with 'flexi' time between 7am - 7pm. Job Purpose To work as part of a team to ensure that all the Association's financial transactions are properly recorded in the Association's books and records, in accordance with the Association's laid down financial policies and procedures. To assist with the timely and accurate reporting of financial information. To assist with the financial controls around balance sheet accounts. To be responsible for the day to day administration of Insurance Claims, liaising with internal departments and broker. Provide support and cover to other members of the Finance team as required. Main Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Finance team with coding of expense invoices, in particular support for invoices which require batch processing in Excel. Act as a key point of contact within the Association for any coding related queries, including providing feedback on coding errors to be rectified. Responsible for month end processes including (but not limited to) review of accounts to identify mispostings, posting of prepayments and accruals and reporting on variances. Liaise with budget holders on variance throughout the year, including re-forecasting. Completion of balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts. Assist with the monitoring of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring completion and adequate record keeping. Provide support to the Finance Manager as necessary to manage day-to-day broker relationships including managing the administration of insurance claims as they arise. Assist with the submission of VAT returns, ensuring returns are submitted in a timely manner. Ensure that all work is in line with policies and procedures. Ensure that all calculations and assumptions are linked to supporting workings and appropriate source of information. Critically self-evaluate any outputs to deliver a right first time service.
