Finance Assistant job in Worcester working contract until 31st December 2019.
Your new company
A well known public sector client is looking for someone to join their team on a contract basis until 31st December 2019. Based in Worcester, you will be reporting to the Strategic Business Manager.
Your new role
Reporting to the Strategic Business Manager, you will be responsible but not limited to; assisting with the setting and monitoring annual non pay budgets, ensure that expenditure is codded to the correct budgets, support completion of grant claims. Assist with tasks such as petty cash, ordering goods and and supporting officers and staff with related queries. Analyse spend data and respond to queries, making sure all income is correctly accounted for and any adhoc duties required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to demonstrate understanding of how budgets are constructed and monitored, have 5 Grade A-C GCSE's including Maths and English. Experience required is that you have experience in budgetary control, have worked within an accounting environment in the Public Sector, able to analyse large volumes of data and operating a contemporary finance system.
