Responsibilities:
To assist the Group Management Accountant with the provision of reporting and analysis and the accounting of central reported Balance sheet items. Ensure group finance queries are investigated and resolved in a timely manner Communicate relevant information in a concise manner Work accurately to agreed standards and processes Continuously maintain appropriate records and regularly keep information up to date To have responsibility for a number of fixed asset registers and clearing accounts across the group in order to ensure accuracy and reliability in the accounting. This is to include the accurate recording of capital accruals on a periodic basis. This will require accurate data processing to ensure information is maintained and up to date. To prepare supporting audit and tax schedules including legal and professional analysis and reconciliations, as well as assisting with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts. Assist with the completion of National Statistic Surveys. Assist in year-end rollover processes. Carry out other ad-hoc tasks to support the Group management accountant. Person Specification: Essential knowledge of Microsoft office to an intermediate level. Undertaken general accounting duties (e.g. sales ledger processing / cash allocation activities An understanding of VAT and Corporation tax. Computer literate (MS Office) especially Excel, confident with VLOOKUP's/pivot tables.
