Assistant Accountant
Location:
South Manchester An Assistant Accountant is required to join a successful educational institution on a full time, permanent basis. Your role will be to take the lead on finance, both from a transactional and month end/reporting perspective. Your responsibilities include: Preparation of accounts up to trial balance Forecast and variance analysis for the group Preparation of VAT Returns and production of statutory reports Take a lead of budgets for short and medium term financial forecasts Processing purchase invoices Bank reconciliations Suggesting any improvements to processes and procedures to improve efficiency Ideal candidate: Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role AAT Technician or CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified Management accounts experience Advanced Excel - vlookups/pivot tables Free parking is on offer along with some excellent benefits, including a generous holiday entitlement.
