Risk and Compliance Manager - permanent - Cwmbran- salary up to £33k per year Are you an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity to join a well-established organisation in Cwmbran? If so, we are looking for you Risk and Compliance Manager - permanent - Cwmbran - salary up to £33k per year As a Risk and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, compliance and quality assurance service across the business. You will lead on the areas of Risk Management, Data Protection and Internal Audit and lead the co-ordination of emergency planning programmes. Your responsibilities will be: Leading the delivery of Data Protection across the organisation as required by the Data Protection Act Act as the internal champion for Data Protection; taking the lead in driving data protection principles through the organisation Leading on the delivery of training to raise awareness and to also handle all Subject Access Requests within statutory time frame. Facilitate GDPR compliance through transparent data protection policies, systems and procedures. Develop and maintain a strategic risk management culture and oversee the review and reporting of strategic and operational risks and maintain the corporate risk registers. Work with the Internal Auditor to co-ordinate the internal audits across the organisation. Ensuring that databases are kept up to date and responsible for following up on audit recommendations to ensure they have been carried out as required. Act as the policy administrator for the organisation, ensuring that policies are reviewed in a timely manner and that where relevant equality impact assessments are undertaken. Ensure business registers such as the Asset and Liability Register are kept up to date and in use. Co-ordinate the development of the Emergency Plan, ensuring that the plan is frequently reviewed and to lead on ensuring the emergency plan is communicated effectively Undertake key projects to support the achievement of business objectives To be considered, you will have: experience of GDPR and it's application within not for profit sectors. experience of working with Risk Management and Assurance. experience of report writing and presenting information to senior members of staff. experience of designing, co-ordinating and delivering training sessions. A self-motivated individual who inspires confidence. confidence and be able to influence and support others to positively embrace change flexibility to adapt well to changing demands and conditions.
