The firm is a General Practice providing full-service lines. The firm throughout it's history has been known for it's commerciality & pragmatic approach to servicing its predominantly SME / OMB clintele. The Role: Reporting to the Audit Manager on occasions to Partners. Clients operates in many sectors including; services, manufacture, retail and wholesale with turnovers ranging from £5m to £50m. The split will be approximately: audit 80% and accounts 20%. Duties include: Planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignments. Plan assignments in conjunction with the client partner or manager Lead some of our largest and most complex assignments on a mixed portfolio of SME and UK Subs Supervise staff members during the audit and review their work Deliver the audit file to the assignment manager in timely manner Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points Coach other staff for improved performance and technical development Develop specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to the office's training and development programme Some special projects The Person: Experience of OMB/SME private company audits: planning, budget preparation, identifying key risks, developing an audit plan, executing the audit on site. Experience & attitude as important as qualification: nearly, newly, recently qualified candidates considered. The Package: Very competitive salary. Study supported if applicable. Pension.
