Chief Risk Officer - Commercial Lending My client are an established financial group, offering business lending products to the SME market. They are currently at the beginning of an exciting stage of growth (growing in excess of 100% per annum) and are looking to expand their senior management team with heads familiar with growth and or bringing corporate governance. They are a national company with offices across the UK. Having recently secured new investment they are looking to grow their product offering and target new sales channels in order to grow. The role of Chief Risk Officer : We're looking for a brilliant credit risk leader to come into the business and be responsible for the credit and risk appetite and procedures around current and new products. This will require building risk teams, new frameworks and policies for products and mitigating the risks inherent in the regulations surrounding them. It will ideally suit a candidate who has several years of credit risk leadership and is ready to step up to take full responsibility of this area within the group. Requirements of the Chief Risk Officer: Previous senior management experience. Ideally; Experience of working within a business where you can display growth and new product development Experience working with a range of commercial finance products, including business loans, bridging, commercial property, asset finance etc. Experience having built and refined policy and processes before Affinity with the target customer audience - small businesses Preferable having had risk modelling and (or) scorecarding experience Responsibilities of the Chief Risk Officer: To be a key member of the senior management team To represent our client across the UK To be part of the growth of the business through future market fund raising exercises and be a pivotal part of making this a possibility Develop a credit and risk policy across the business that allows a competitive approach to BD and enables the business to keep a strong risk profile. Manages front-line credit risk, early customer default, recoveries, compliance and internal audit teams (the latter two are not built). Why Should You Apply?
