Looking for a new and exciting opportunity in a Top 10 Practice? We are recruiting for a Top 10 award-winning Practice based in Milton Keynes are searching for an Audit Manager to join their fast-paced Audit team. Working closely with the Partners and Senior Managers of the firm. You will run a busy portfolio of varied clients within the Real Estate, Professional Services, Consumer Markets, Technology Media, Energy Mining and Industry sectors. The ideal candidate will be working as a Supervisor/Assistant Manager ready to take the step to Manager, or will be a Manager perhaps frustrated with the lack of progression on offer in their current firm or looking for a new and enriching opportunity. Ideal requirements: Experience supervising a team of Audit staff within a sizeable Accountancy Practice. ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent Excellent communication skills and able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures. Working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP Strong organisational skills Responsibilities of the Role: Planning and completion of statutory Audit Attending and leading client meetings Delegation and review of work completed by team Managing overall service delivery to clients Managing the Audit staff - including appraisal/mentoring/workload etc Financial management of a Portfolio of clients Offering support to Partners when required Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the Partner. This includes responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients.
