My client is a small Financial Services provider based in Nottingham. Due to an impending retirement they are currently recruiting fora Head of Risk and Compliance. Reporting directly into the CEO you will be the subject matter expert for all aspects of Risk and Compliance. You will have a small team to support, although will work quite operationally on a day to day basis. Your main responsibilities will include; To develop, implement and administer all aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and Anti-Money Laundering Plan and to oversee the management of specified areas of risk management. To ensure that the Board of directors, management and employees comply with the rules and regulations of the financial regulatory authorities To oversee compliance with the company Risk Appetite Statement To review regularly the allocated policies to ensure they meet the requirements of the regulatory authorities To prepare an annual Compliance Monitoring Plan for review, approval and monitoring To liaise with the internal auditors and act as a focal point for queries and work scheduling. To approve all Financial Promotions and New Products from a Compliance perspective To review publications from the financial regulatory authorities To receive all internal reports of suspicious activity and consider in the light of all relevant information. To oversee compliance with the financial regulator's rules on systems and controls against money laundering To act as the focal point for all activity within the firm relating to anti-money laundering To comply with statutory information requests from duly authorised government bodies. To ensure compliance with the Bribery Act You will be a Financial Services professional with several years senior level experience. You will have knowledge of financial services regulatory framework and compliance. You will be based in the East Midlands or happy to relocate to the local area
