Compliance The compliance function is supported by a Compliance Committee, which reports to the Executive Committee. The compliance function has the responsibility for: Designing and managing the compliance programme framework Providing strategic recommendations to management Day to day support and providing advice to businesses on compliance issues Identifying the compliance risks (regulatory and corporate) across all jurisdictions for both physical and financial businesses, and ensuring the firm remains in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g. trade sanctions, bribery and corruptions, AML, position limits, etc) Implementation of systems and controls in relation to regulatory, corporate and legal risks Developing and delivering training to staff Providing support to the people in charge of trade monitoring Managing relationship with authorities, regulators and exchanges Advocacy with law makers and regulators Position Summary The Compliance Analyst will report to the Head of Compliance EMEA and Asia. Based in London, the Compliance Analyst will have responsibility for: Supporting the implementation of corporate compliance framework Carrying out analysis of third party relationships (counterparties, agents, business partners, M&A transactions) Analysis of new projects and initiative to understand the compliance risk and make recommendation to rest of the compliance team Conducting compliance led reviews Support the Legal and Finance teams on Sanctions related matters Undertaking additional activities as directed by the Head of Compliance EMEA and Asia Qualifications and Experience The candidate will have experience in either a compliance or legal role Knowledge and understanding of energy commodity markets Personal Characteristics Flexible and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Good communication and common sense approach Well organised, disciplined and able to follow through Able to work across organisational and cultural boundaries
