We are currently recruiting for an energetic, ambitious and engaging Contracts and Compliance Manager to join our Legal team to support the increasing needs or our business and continue to evolve and tailor our products to the needs of our customers. The Legal team act as trusted business partners, collaborating with product and commercial teams to help the business grow in a way that meets regulatory requirements and protects the reputation of Digital Surgery. The team is busy and this a new role due to expansion. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, you will enjoy a broad and generalist role where no day is the same. You will work on a wide variety of exciting legal projects and help address complex challenges across all of Digital Surgery's teams. You will deliver strategic and day-to-day contracts support, focusing on drafting, reviewing and negotiating general commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, agents, and partners, as well as managing tender and procurement processes. You will assist the business to meet its compliance obligations in line with regulatory requirements and best practice including assisting the Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs to: assess the data privacy compliance of Digital Surgery and its vendors, contractors and service providers against the relevant legislative frameworks; and support and enforce existing risk management and compliance processes. You will create and improve contracts and compliance processes for scale, develop standard forms and checklists and educate the business on relevant developments. You will collaborate with product and commercial teams to complete cross-functional projects and attend workshops that will allow you to gain strategic insight into our business and operating priorities and ensure new and existing products are both compliant, customer focused and agile. You may also at times provide legal support in other areas such as IP/branding, advertising/marketing, product counselling, disputes, employment, corporate and company secretarial matters. Requirements You will have 2 years of experience with commercial contracts and compliance and have excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills. You will ideally have had in-house experience in a start-up, tech or healthcare environment. Most importantly, you must be excited about the opportunity to work at a fast-growing and innovative company. This means you will be skilled at juggling a large number of competing priorities; and be willing to roll up your sleeves to undertake a wide variety of tasks - some routine, and other more challenging - and to take ownership of them and see them to conclusion.
