Chief Technical Officer - Fintech - London - 120k Equity and Bonus I am working on behalf of a maturing start up Fintech trading company based in the heart of the city. You will be leading and managing a development team that are based in three locations including London and will work to grow this with the next round of VC funding. You do not necessarily have to have done a CTO role before but have been a head of Technology or a senior technology person who can take on the next step of helping this organistion taking their technology organistion to the next level and grow with the marker demands. You will have: A proven track record in leading high functional technical team with a passion for success Ideally experience within a startup style organistion where the challenges and rewards come thick and fast Some form of Financial background thought they are not restricted to just the trading work but any form of Financial services Started your career as a technology professional and someone who has a passion for progression within technology Any consulting background could be beneficial as you will have to be able to concisely sell your solutions/business cases to senior stakeholder so this could stand you in good stead Ideally exposure to managing onshore and offshore development teams Technology stack: Elastic Architecture patterns - Public cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes containers, Parallel computing, Serverless design and Hadoop Java is the predominant development language but a second would be advantageous - Python, C/C++, Unix/Shell script, JavaScript Data Architecture stacks - Any RDBMS, SQL, No-SQL, docDB The most important requirement for this role is the culture and fit of the person. An ideal person that is happy to try out new ideas sometimes to ultimately fail but learn from your experience and become better. Someone who constantly thrives for better and constantly pushes until you achieve the desired result whilst encouraging others to join you on your journey. This is a well-established company who have a great base product but there is a long way to go and with the next wave of funding coming soon they need someone to trust in taking the company forwards. Technology will be your love and you will be happy to get in the trenches or go it alone when required. Someone who can articulate their choices and ensure that non-technical folk can follow your direction. An involvement within the technology community and meet ups is highly desirable.
