Our client, an Insurance Broker with their Head Office in Belfast, are looking for a new Financial Controller . There will be a short period of handover with the incumbent. Primary responsibilities Overseeing the day to day accounts department Preparation of monthly management accounts. Preparation of the monthly MI and reporting pack including variance analysis and KPIs. Credit control Debt Management Day to day cash flow management and reporting. Managing payroll processing and PAYE. Preparation of annual financial budgets and monthly flexed budgets. Liaising with the auditors Weekly Bank reconciliations / bookkeeping as required Working capital management. Working with the leadership team, you will assist with commercial matters such as pricing, cost negotiation and project management. Experience Required Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) At least 5 years at FC level Financial Services / Insurance Industry experience desirable Working within an FCA regulated company would also be an advantage Analytical skills to quickly review and analyse business processes Understanding of Company Secretary role Good IT skills Excellent Management and Leadership skills Overseeing the preparation of PAYE / NIC to HMRC Development of the financial reporting systems and internal control procedures. Strategies to improve gross margin opportunities and cost reduction measures. Providing accurate information for sanctions lists Supplying information to regulators as required Managing Company Secretarial matters. Beyond the financial function, there is an opportunity to further develop the company's IT requirements as well as dealing with more general management and administrative matters including Health and Safety. Other tasks as required
