Agora Talent is partnering with a popular British retail business to recruit a Finance Analyst position. This is a key role within the retailer's Finance team ensuring that they are able to continue delivering first class reporting and analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Working within the commercial finance team, this role supports the Head of Finance to deliver insightful analysis and reporting with excellent exposure to senior management and broad insight into full company PnL and Balance Sheet. Responsibilities include Core Reporting Daily Sales Reporting - Working alongside other finance team members to ensure the accuracy and delivery of our daily sales reporting. Weekly Reporting - Working alongside other finance team members to deliver our weekly Trade reporting on a Monday morning. Month End - Taking ownership and responsibility for key account lines within the PnL, in particular CAPEX and IT, ensuring understanding of balances and accuracy of reporting and underlying ledgers (including balance sheet reconciliations when appropriate) Ownership of Fixed Assets and depreciation postings ensuring accuracy and underlying ledgers and registers are correct. Ownership of Capex reporting, ensuring aligned monthly reporting and full year forecast. Commercial Analysis Supporting ad hoc analysis across the channels: sales, costs and profitability as required Business Partnering Building relationships and business partnering across the business to enable a mutual understanding of financial impacts and projections, in particular with the IT Director and Sales Director. Planning and Forecasting Support the annual Budget and Reforecast process, delivering owned account lines and analysis. Ad hoc reporting and analysis Review and redesign of reporting, when appropriate, to ensure value-add outputs Preparation of other ad hoc analysis as and when required Support of wider finance team where appropriate Skills and Experience Essential: - Advanced excel skills - Attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs - Strong communication skills with the ability to work well both within finance and across the business at all levels - Pro-active - Team player - Ability to multi-task Desirable: - Experience working in the retail sector - Part qualified accountant - Systems Knowledge: Microsoft AX Dynamics, Zap This role is based in SW London.
