Responsibilities:
Driver management including Working time directive management Timesheet checks Missing miles reconciliation Counselling and management in relation to the above Wages and holidays Audit preparation and on-going procedural management Agency management including assessments, training and inductions, spend management and purchase order number issuing Fleet checks including spot defect checks On receipt of vehicle accident notification Tachograph training and counselling Accident investigations Driver complaints PG9 initial management i.e. collation of paperwork, driver interviews and vehicle/trailer stand down for rectification works New vehicles - manage upfleet and refleet AS400 updating, telematics management & allocation Cab phone management - deploying to vehicle and subsequent management Operator licence discs and VTG plates - deployed to vehicle and managing when fleet changes Service planning for new on fleet vehicle Service capturing including driver arrangements Follow up actions from PMI - rectifications and recalls Breakdown management - load, driver rescue MOT and service availability - stand down and presentation Accident and defect management including investigations, spot checks and follow up actions Cab audits including tyre checks and downloads Off fleet - reverse of on fleet actions (above) Health & Safety duties Any other duties as requested by the Fleet Compliance Manager Experience and Qualifications: An individual with experience working with drivers is preferred Basic understanding of driver/fleet legislation including vehicle & trailers Numerate - An ability to work with data is an advantage. Computer Literate - Will need to be comfortable using a variety of transactional systems as well as Excel and word. Ability to attain AS400 system skills. The role holder must be a team player - it is vital that they are willing and able to support their colleagues. Be willing to deal with poor performing drivers within the constraints of the Wincanton disciplinary policy.
