Job Title:

Salary:
£34,000-£36,000 (dependant on experience) annual bonus Contract type: Permanent

Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire Gi Group are seeking an experienced COMPLIANCE OFFICER to join our client's team based in Scunthorpe. Our client has been a leading corporation in their trade for 25 years, which continually focus on developing all business functions both commercially and industrially. This newly established vacancy will entail working within an open office environment, concentrating on GDPR/legislation implementation, risk management, ICFR and Enterprise Risk Management functions (please see extensive duties below), reporting directly to the Finance Director. The successful candidate will have confidence in supplying a wide range of guidance in relation to all aspects of compliance, to both internal and external customers, taking responsibility of their own workload and prioritising as required. Specific Duties (exclusive but not exhaustive, other duties may be required as per service requirements): Ensure GDPR compliancy is met, including maintaining all necessary records needed under GDPR and be the main point of contact for GDPR related enquiries Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders in respect of the corporate Enterprise Risk Management function and manage compliance thereof Coordinate and manage compliance of the corporate Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements Implement roll out of new corporate policies, as required, and manage existing policies Monitor legislative environment regularly and manage compliance of new applicable regulations as necessary Perform internal audit checks as deemed necessary to ensure continued compliance throughout the business Be the main point of contact for corporate insurances, liaising as required with brokers to ensure required information is submitted in a timely fashion Delivering any in-house training as required The successful candidate will have/be: A-Level, grades A-C in Law, Business or any similar qualification (to degree level would be advantageous) Thorough GDPR / Legislation knowledge, experience in a previous position that demonstrates this is essential Risk management experience FMCG / manufacturing experience (desirable) Experience in financial reporting (desirable) EU GDPR Practitioner Certification (desirable) Member of International Compliance Association (desirable) Internally audit trained (desirable) If you are interested in the position in the first instance please send your CV or alternatively call 01724 875600 to enquire further about the role.
