The Role This is an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Finance Business Partnering to lead the Mortgages division of this progressive organisation based in Wilmslow on the outskirts of Manchester. You will act as the strategic financial lead for the Mortgages division and be responsible for a small team of Financial Analysts. This is a high profile role and is a key support to the Retail MD and Mortgages MD in the successful running of the Residential Owner-Occupied and Buy-to-Let Mortgages businesses by providing high quality financial information within a controlled environment, commercial business support and strategic and commercial insight and the appropriate level of challenge. This is a great opportunity to drive change to identify and deliver a programme of continuous improvement in the processes, control environment, data quality, financial analysis and insight across Mortgages finance. Key Accountabilities include Mortgages Accountabilities Support the Retail and Mortgages MDs in running the Residential Owner-Occupied and Buy-to-Let Mortgages businesses as an integrated senior member of their team. Fully engage and participate in relevant Mortgages leadership forums, providing a commercial, strategic view of the business, assisting it and driving performance through proactive financial insight and analysis Ability to influence management into a course of action with the best financial outcome Ability to present and persuade to large groups of senior non-finance managers, conveying financial concepts clearly and persuasively Working with the senior management team to provide them with financial information and support on all aspects of the business, including but not limited to, budgetary management, monthly forecasting, business performance analysis, accounting and treasury management, capital utilisation monitoring and weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual statutory and management reporting Lead the annual budget setting exercise for Mortgages, challenging the MD on their plans and advising on delivery of service in the most economic and effective manner. To be the lead financial input on new product pricing, product formulation and retention strategy, assessment of funding requirements, returns assessment and financial impact of business change programmes Finance Accountabilities Represent the interests of Finance as a whole at the Mortgages Leadership Team by building a strong working relationship with the Mortgages Financial Control team who have recently relocated to London Responsible for managing and developing a team of c3 business partners Identify and deliver a programme of continuous improvement. Experience required CIMA, ACCA or ACA Fully Qualified is essential Experience of working within the Mortgages sphere of a financial services organisation. Experienced team leader who can develop and build a strong, successful and stable finance team Evidence of strong commercial leadership Commercial and analytically focused in order to drive improvements Experience in evaluating business performance in both a strategic and commercial context Confident, proactive self-starter with exceptional presentational skills Evidence of driving change throughout an organization or function Ability to influence and persuade across all levels of seniority The Rewards As you would expect, this opportunity offers a competitive basic salary and reward package, and you'll also benefit from our commitment to investing in your professional development.
