We have a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join a well known consumer electronics brand. This role will be based in Cambridge with an attractive package and progression plan. The successful applicant will be required to plan, direct, and coordinate activities within the company, to ensure compliance with ethical, environmental and regulatory standards. Managing the compliance of all of the companies product lines both electrical and non-electrical. The successful person will be the company expert with regards to all compliance issues on a global basis. With responsibility to report risks, legislation changes and status updates to c-suite and appropriate line management. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and update processes and procedures within the company to ensure compliance with ethical (CSR), environmental and regulatory standards Provide advice on new and existing products to ensure that products are designed within applicable safety standards Update compliance test reports as and when required as part of the engineering change process Conduct periodic internal reviews and audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed. Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities. Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes. Consult with corporate attorneys or trading standards as necessary to address any difficult legal compliance issues. Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies or procedures Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews. Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress. Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organisational structure. KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Relevant experience in a senior compliance management role (electrical & non electrical consumer products) Knowledge of IEC electrical safety standards and administration of testing, preferably in consumer electronics. Highly organised Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail Familiarity with BS EN60335.1 Familiarity with European cosmetic standard Please apply with an up to date resume accompanies by a covering email stating your current employment situation and current package.
