Our client is the trading subsidiary of a registered educational charity involved in international pathway education. Their commercial focus and strong leadership has resulted in year on year growth. This is a newly created role and offers a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused individual who wants to make a real difference. You will be responsible for the management of Finance and Operations staff across the organisation and the development of the high-level financial strategy. You will oversee all financial aspects of the company strategy and be responsible for the flow of financial information to the Board. The role will also encompass ongoing change management as the business continues to develop and oversight of the current digital transformation programme. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will be instrumental in driving the business forward. Your role will be varied and challenging and will include - Developing and supporting your team. Business planning. Financial planning, forecasting & benchmarking. Managing the Company's commercial contract process Self-motivated and effective in both hands-on and strategic roles, you must be business focussed, innovative and able to influence others. You must be committed to achieving continuous improvement and change. Negotiating complex contracts with delivery partners, from both UK and international Universities, you must be at ease working with a range of cultures and countries. You will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including Trustees, Board members, senior managers and international delivery partners. You should hold a good degree together with ACA, ACCA, CMI, CIPD, ICSA or IOSH qualifications. You will have a proven track record in financial planning control and human resource management, as well as the production of insightful business advice on commercial issues. You will have outstanding influencing and communication skills and have an understanding of the legal and financial requirements of both charities and limited companies. Some travel will be required. Benefits include: excellent remuneration package, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata) and a contributory pension. The role also offers a central Manchester location close to Piccadilly train station.
