United Kingdom,Northern Ireland,Belfast Education: None Job Function: Operations - Core Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: No Job ID: 19009915 Description Req Description: Team/Function Overview The Operations Regulatory Control group is a centralized unit within ICG O and T that is responsible for the exception management process and risk mitigation for the following areas: MiFID II Transaction Reporting obligations to National Competent Authorities; EMIR Reporting obligation to the FCA Oversight and reporting to numerous other regulatory bodies and/or Debt Management Offices The team is responsible for the review, action (including re-submission) and oversight of daily Trade, Position and Transaction exception reporting data. The team works very closely with Compliance, Business, Technology and Operations to interpret, investigate and remediate regulatory issues. Role / Position Overview To provide supervision for the oversight and exception management processes supported by an ORC team in Belfast. Review of trade, position and transaction reporting validation and reconciliation exceptions pertaining to trade / transaction data submitted to regulators (including FCA, PRA, CBI and BOE). The individual will be responsible for working collaboratively with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit and the business to maintain strong working relationship and a best in class approach to proactive exception management. Key tasks to involve the supervision of staff and processes within the Reporting team in Belfast, and working in conjunction with Senior Management in London to highlight issues and raise solutions through interpretation of submitted data. Qualifications Knowledge/Experience: Team player who works well with colleagues of all levels in achieving value-added results; The ideal candidate must have investment banking experience; Ability to build productive working relationships across Business Units, Operations departments, Internal Audit, and Compliance; Ability to interpret and summarize key issues to senior management and other stakeholders; Proven experience developing creative solutions to problems; Ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard whilst under pressure; Understand impact of external factors (e.g. regulatory changes) on departmental strategy; Have an understanding of front to back technology and business flows; Proven track record of supervising/managing a team. Skills: Self-starter, able to work on initiative and organize themselves well; Strong upward and downward management skills to balance managerial requirements with BAU supervision. Ability to communicate ideas at a high level for management and at the detailed level for staff Great leadership skills to develop and nurture a growing team.
