An opportunity has arisen for a commercially aware experienced Financial Controller, with a strong background in finance management to work with our team. You will oversee the small finance team. The right candidate will have a strong financial background, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a thriving business based near Reading. You will take accountability for the day to day financial operations of the site and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage the insurance policies Cashflow forecasts Monthly Management Accounts Forecasting and budgeting Quarterly VAT returns Review the adequacy of current accounting system and implement a system update if required Report KPIs against an agreed business plan Taking responsibility for monthly management accounts, including analysis and reporting Offering support to the Finance Director as and when required The Individual: Minimum 3 years in the medical/biotech industry Be a qualified accountant, preferably ACA or equivalent, with post qualification experience. Have had previous experience of successfully managing a team within a corporate environment. Have excellent analytical skills with the ability to really add value to both the commercial side of the business but also to drive forward the technical side as well
