Grafton Banks Finance is working exclusively with a leading insurance group to recruit an FP&A Manager. Following significant growth in the past two years the Group CFO has taken the opportunity to create this new role to report into the Head of FP&A and to produce the monthly reporting, annual budgeting & forecasting and all associated analysis. To be considered for this role you could be one of two backgrounds. You will either be a practice trained accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong commercial acumen looking to make their first move into industry or you will be a recently qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) working in a management accounting or FP&A role with budgeting & forecasting experience. Applicants will need to be intelligent and ambitious and will be rewarded with a challenging role in an exciting business with the opportunity to progress their careers as the business grows. Reporting to the Head of FP&A the key responsibilities will include: Preparation of accurate and high-quality month end reports to deadline, including both routine and ad hoc reporting, and ensure that these anticipate the emerging needs of a rapidly changing global business; Support various business heads and cost centre managers in the preparation of their budgets & forecast in line with the group forecasting schedule; Preparation of financial models for new business opportunities. Including analysis on ROI, Payback period. Producing both a cashflow forecast and balance sheet impact assessment; Maintain a continuous improvement approach to reporting, with the building and maintenance of reports out of the accounting system.; Work with the Operational Finance team to ensure transactions are being posted in both the correct periods and against the budgeted cost centres; Build strong working relationships with operational finance teams across the Group and IT to ensure that issues are anticipated and resolved constructively on a timely basis; It is essential applicants can work in a fast paced rapidly evolving business and can demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and leadership experience. Strong analytical and Excel skills are essential as is experience partnering non-financial stakeholders.
