The client, a global software company based in Victoria , are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience assisting with month end responsibilities and Accounts Payable experience.

Client Details

They are a global organisation, that specialise in software technology for large businesses. They are based right outside Victoria station and they are growing very quickly. As a result, they are looking to expand their Finance team. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to help support the month end process.

Description

The successful candidate will be:

• Daily Accounting tasks:

 Posting of invoices the two entities on a daily basis

 Ensuring all invoices are approved by the person agreeing the purchase

 Ensuring all invoices are including in the cash flow and that the forecast date of payment is in line with agreed payment terms and company policy

 Reconciling the Accounts Payable portion of the daily cash flow sheet

 Managing & Setting up weekly Supplier payment runs ready for review

 Supplier statement reconciliations

 Ensuring all processed invoices are scanned and saved onto the server, ready for inspection during an audit or by the HMRC

• Monthly Accounting tasks include:

 Credit card reconciliations

 Accruals and Prepayments

 VAT Reconciliation for review by management accountants

 Inter-company Reconciliations for review by management accountants

 Bank reconciliations

 Employee expenses verification through SAP Concur

 Preparing Management Accounts for review by Team Manager

 Small element of Credit Control

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Good communication skills
• Be comfortable on Excel
• Be confident
• Approximately 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Studying their ACCA or CIMA
• Have a university degree
• Have experience assisting with the month end process
• Have experience doing Accounts Payable
