NXTGEN are working with an exciting and expanding technology company in Cambridge to recruit an Accountant on an initial 6 month contract. Working closely with the Finance Director, this varied role will see the Accountant supporting the month end close whilst also supporting technical accounting requirements for the business. The successful post holder will work as part of a close knit team and may be required to support other ad hoc tasks within the finance team. Key responsibilities of the role will include: - Production of the month end management accounts with accompanying commentary - Preparation of monthly financial statements - Monitor and review P&L, reporting on financial position of the business - Review company budgets and forecasts, tracking performance vs plan - Complete VAT returns, EC Sales and Intrastat The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), although candidates with experience in a similar role will also be considered. Candidates will ideally have gained experience working within an internationally trading business with Manufacturing or Tech sector experience desirable but not essential. Good Excel skills and experience using ERP systems are also desirable. For the right candidate, the role could be extended or made permanent.
