Head of Strategic Asset Management Housing Association £80,000 - £90,000 London Permanent Applications close: 20/03/2019 About the role Job Role and Requirements: Lead on the 30 year business planning and budgeting process Manage the stock condition process to ensure information on property assets is robust Prepare and maintain a 30 year cost model for stock investment including rolling 5 year programme of investment Lead and develop the strategic priorities and plans for the directorate Lead on the management and development of the asset management property databases and information links to other systems Manage and review component life cycle costing and depreciation Benefits: 28 days annual leave bank holidays and a day off for your birthday Flexible working including part time and compressed hours Support for relevant professional qualifications and career progression Staff discount scheme featuring offers from retailers such as M&S, Sainsbury's, Apple and more Generous pension contribution scheme - enhance pension by doubling contributions up to 10% Experience and Skills Required: Track record of managing an asset management service where customer service is at the heart of service delivery Degree in building management, surveying or similar (min. RICS HNC level or similar) and/or professional qualification in relation to building maintenance or surveying services Member of RICS, CIOB, CIBSE or equivalent Proven ability to agree, create and manage a planned investment programme based on stock data to maximise performance and to meet statutory requirements and service standards Knowledge of social housing business planning, asset management activities and social housing management Knowledge of life cycle costing in the context of stock condition survey data Knowledge of stock appraisal tools and appraisal assumptions - financial, strategic and other performance fit criteria Knowledge of relevant legislation and/or codes of practice i.e. construction, building regulations, health and safety, equality and diversity Experience of undertaking property condition surveys, analysing survey data and preparing reports on findings Experience in commissioning and managing contractors and consultants Delivering VFM initiatives Ability to manage change programmes, strong project and programme management skills Badenoch & Clark We specialise in senior to exec level recruitment across corporate services, asset management & housing development, sales & marketing and care and support roles.
