Blackwaters are recruiting an Audit /Accounts Senior or strong Semi-Senior The firm: Top 20 CAs very strong in the South East. The firm has enjoyed double-digit growth for each of the past 3 years; this has been achieved through organic & acquisitional growth. The firm has been further strengthened by joining an international group of CAs. Client base varies the focus is on high-quality SMEs in the £5 to £50m bracket but does include substantial groups & NFP organisations. The majority of clients are based in the South East. The role: Working on a range of clients across the firm's portfolio.Role is a General practice mix of audit & accounts. Reporting to Managers, Directors, Partners, in a team of c25 staff. Your responsibilities will depend upon your experience to date & to suit your future progression but will include the following: Main Duties and Responsibilities Leading audits both in but primarily out of the office using a computerised audit system. Preparation/editing of financial statements using accounts production software To supervise and assist junior team members both in house and off site To delegate and review work of junior team members; including audit files, draft documentation, accounts and corporation tax computations Liaison with and dealing with client queries To attend client meetings To assist in the preparation of proposals for new work, where necessary Identifying opportunities to advise clients Candidates: Part or Nearly or Newly Qualified candidates who have worked in a UK practice in a role with some audit content.
