A growing engineering business based in Derby City Centre are currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller your duties will include:
• Assisting with the processing of the company payroll on a weekly basis
• Assisting with the processing of new starters and leavers
• Updating systems and employer records accurately
• Reviewing and checking the hour's spreadsheets and information provided by sites
• Administration of the Auto-enrolment pension scheme
• Support and liaise regularly with sites and assist with payroll queries
• General office duties including filing, administration and answering the telephone
• Assist Payroll Officer and Finance team in ad-hoc tasks The successful candidate will ideally have:
• Experience in processing large volume payrolls
• Be confident in processing payroll from end to end
• Be confident in running weekly payroll
• A knowledge and understanding of statutory payroll obligations
• Experience in Real Time Information reporting and the HMRC portal
• Ideally be working towards a CIPP qualification. The role is paying £21,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience, they also offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and free on site parking.
