A career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our team helps our clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency. You'll focus on helping clients establish treasury goals, analyse and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts. ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above Be involved in the financial management of clients Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria Train, coach, and supervise team members Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand The Real Estate tax team sits within our Deals tax practice at our More London office. We advise the whole spectrum of UK and international clients seeking to invest in real estate, including private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, high net worth individuals, REITS and other institutional investors. Our work is a mixture of transaction driven advice, such as due diligence and structuring, as well as other advisory services and tax compliance. We have specialist teams advising on VAT, stamp taxes, capital allowances, business rates and transfer pricing. About the roleThe successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients whilst broadening their technical knowledge and commercial agility, and building a broad and deep network across PwC. The work will involve Driving the delivery on a wide range of UK and international projects, both transactions and wider advisory work; Working with a range international clients at the forefront of the real estate industry Developing and managing key client relationships and becoming a focal point of contact Understanding the client's business and identifying areas for the provision of other PwC services Carrying out detailed technical research in a variety of areas Managing teams and coaching and developing staff Taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of clients Developing cross line of service and international relationships with PwC and the PwC member firms Being involved in business development and proposal activity Ensuring all risk and take on procedures are adhered to Project managing major advisory assignments, seeing the process through from inception to implementation Tax We help organisations and the people who run them answer the big business questions.
