Manpower is currently recruiting for 3 Accountancy Clerk on behalf of our client, American Express. These are temporary roles one for three months, one for six and one for 12 months working 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. You will be provided with full training on your first week, and offered on the job training as you progress in your role. Main function: To process a large volume of payments to card members accounts accurately and timely. We have a same day SLA on clearing these payments so i am looking for an individual who can work at a fast pace without compromising on accuracy. Knowledge on Care & Globestar would be a huge advantage and excel knowledge is crucial.

Responsibilities:

• All incoming remittances to be accurately processed within SLA
• Re-educating customer payment behaviors
• Driving process enhancements, increasing efficiencies
• Streamlining Direct Debit and Direct Credit process across EMEA markets
• Maintaining daily dialogue with our external banking partners
• Reducing values of untraceable funds received, minimizing values in suspense accounts
• Identifying opportunities to improve current working practices
• Adhere to the strict compliance regulations and culture, ensuring controls completed on a daily basis
• Escalate any market impacts in a timely manner
• Payment queries and investigation to be completed within SLA's The successful candidate needs to be an organized, motivated individual with well developed communicational skills. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst working under pressure is essential, with an ability to work as part of a team ensuring team goals are achieved, a high level of numeracy and analytical skills is required. Including the below:
• Ability to identify, gather and analyze complex information
• A high degree of American Express systems knowledge including, Care, Globestar & Meridian
• The ability to organize and manage to deadlines, adapting your time to changing priorities in order to meet the needs of the department
• Flexible and adaptable to ever changing environments, embracing change Key Competencies:
