SALARY:
£22,000 - £25,000 - depending on experience

If you are currently a Payroll candidate working within another bureau we would welcome your CV. Your main purpose of this role is to provide a payroll service to the Department. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a lively team in a varied and fast-paced role JOB DESCRIPTION: Payroll Process periodic payroll and prepare RTI returns. Monitor the progress of payroll processing and payment of tax through tax cycle. Use appropriate resources to gain technical payroll knowledge. Provide technical assistance to clients and office colleagues. Present the payroll and related service to clients with appropriate explanations. General Undertake general administration tasks. Effectively communicate with colleagues within the organisation to promote teamwork across the group and assist in the development of internal relationships. Identify and meet personal job-related training as required. Provide assistance in terms of general and specific support to Partners and managers as required. Undertake other reasonable work activities as determined by the Partners and managers. Undertake appropriate training to ensure CPD criteria is met. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Experience of Payroll Processing within a Bureau Environment. Good working knowledge of payroll legislation. Working knowledge of payroll software and advantage: Star, Sage and/or Xero, preferable, but not essential Excellent customer service skills A confident approach to dealing with clients on the telephone and in person. Confidence and knowledge to work independently with an organised approach Eye for detail and high level of accuracy. Working knowledge of Auto Enrolment legislation.
