If so, please click on the link below to find out more I am working with a leading property development group based in East London to recruit an interim Accounts Payable Officer. The role sits in a busy, thriving team where flexibility within your role will enable you to gain experience in all aspects of accounts payable. This role will be on an interim basis for three months with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent opportunity for the successful candidate. Reporting into a knowledgeable Accounts Payable Team Leader, the main responsibilities of the interim Accounts Payable Officer are as follows: Managing key supplier accounts by both phone and email and dealing with any outstanding debt. Running weekly payment runs as well as emergency payments and setting up new supplier accounts. Processing tax returns and reconciling supplier statements, working closely with the invoice processing team. Support the invoice processing team by handling large volumes of invoices accurately and ahead of expected time frames. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage the workload. The successful candidate must have strong experience working in an accounts payable team, preferably involving some credit control. You will also be highly proficient with Excel. It will be beneficial to have used GP Direct and/or GP Dynamics in a previous role, although any other P2P system will be sufficient. You must be able to demonstrate strong organisation skills to meet deadlines for processing payments and also be detail conscious, accurate and diligent. Experience of working within a high volume, high paced environment will allow you to hit the ground running. Previous working experience within the housing sector would be advantageous.
