Group Director Finance-Eastern Colleges Group -Bury St Edmunds - Competitive Salary - Permanent An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for a CCAB qualified accountant to become the finance lead for the expanding Eastern Colleges Group. The Group is a collaboration between West Suffolk College and the Suffolk Academies Trust which provides outstanding education to Suffolk and the neighbouring counties. Reporting to the CFO, this role will provide proactive and supportive input into financial strategy and will lead on the financial management and reporting of the Group through the respective finance managers and their teams whilst continuing to drive forward a commercial culture within the Group. Your responsibilities will include: Management of the two Finance Managers and their teams to ensure all regulatory obligations are fulfilled Ensuring financial data and information is reported and discussed regularly with the Senior Management Team and the Board Embedding and optimising financial compliance and commerciality throughout the Group Rationalising and streamlining financial systems within the Trust and Group An excellent leader and CCAB qualified accountant, you will have demonstrable experience of management accounting in a large and complex organisation and will need to demonstrate Previous experience of managing staff successfully Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good understanding of external and internal audit processes Knowledge of developing and implementing computerised financial management/resource planning and monitoring systems Please ensure you familiarise yourself with our Character Strengths and Mission Statement to incorporate into your personal statement.
