Due to continued success, a new role has been created for a Client Accountant in Cardiff city centre. This is a hands-on role with a responsibility for a large portfolio of clients, providing a range of accountancy expertise using Xero HQ. The company are forward thinking, providing specialist "tech-led" services to their clients and this role is pivotal both to the business and their clients. Client Accountant duties: Set up Xero HQ for 100 clients to provide a meaningful and added value service. Provide strategic and operational finance support via Xero HQ. Proactively manage and review the client's activities such as transactions, reconciliation, VAT returns etc. Drive meaningful client engagement, proactively dealing with added value clients and working closely with key internal and external stakeholders. Preparation and reconcile monthly payroll both temporary and permanent Xero HQ including expenses, workplace pensions, HMRC year end returns, P11Ds, P60s, etc. Be the company expert on Xero HQ, having set the software up from scratch, provide training to internal and external stakeholders as required. Deal with ad-hoc requests such as reporting and providing management information to key stakeholders as required. Day-to-day client administration including sales tax, bookkeeping work etc. Client Accountant person specification: ACCA/ACA/AAT Qualified. Accountancy Practice industry background. Experience of setting up Xero HQ from scratch and integrating the software into the day to day running of a business. Management Accountant fundamentals and processes are an absolute essential. Commercially driven. Can work to key accounting deadlines and milestones Client and relationship focused. Applicants to the Client Accountant role will have an in-depth understanding and ability using Xero HQ, being confident to set up the software from inception and provide training to colleagues.
