Financial Controller / Manager - Maidenhead - £50,000 - £60,000 Benefits Wade MacDonald is currently recruiting a Finance Manager / Financial Controller for a well-established and growing Hi - Tech (t/o £150 million) business based near Maidenhead, Berkshire. Our client has grown 30% year on year. The FD is looking at succession planning and wants to bring in a Finance Manager on board who they can develop and mentor. The Role Manage all financial and commercial risks of the business. Managing relationship with key suppliers in particular with manufacturers. You will ensure integrity of all day to day financial transactions - including all weekly and monthly reports issued by the department. Understand IT back office processes utilised in the finance department and develop systems & procedures to improve & drive efficiency's. Aid all business units with financial support in their business planning to assist in their development, providing financial assistance and control & accuracy of their commercial activities. Deal analysis to verify the accuracy and commercial viability (profit, cash flow and risk). Produce Group reporting weekly pack. Oversee delivery of month end reporting process to be completed by working day 5 including posting all sales and gross profit adjustment journals. Preparation and review of management accounts, including all commentary, and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee treasury function and in particular provide accurate daily cash flow forecasting information. Dealing with members of the Senior Management Team on financial queries. Calculation of bonuses and preparation of the outsourced payroll information. Managing all aspects of VAT/Intrastat and EEC reporting. Prepare for annual audit by drafting audit pack & statutory accounts along with document to be included in the group consolidation. Act as main point of contact with external auditors whilst on site. Lead, motivate and actively manage the finance team to meet all targets including: setting objectives, prioritising daily tasks, organising and encouraging achievement of monthly targets. The person The successful Financial Controller will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have at least 5 years overall Finance and Accounting experience with at least 2 years' experience at Finance Manager / Controller level. Ideally you will have experience in working with in a technology or distribution business and experience of managing a small team is essential.
