My client has a global presence in the retail market stretching over 5 continents. They have been established for over 45 years and have been experiencing year on year growth. This is a newly created role that has come about through organic growth. The business is still privately owned and you get the family feel sense all throughout the business. Reporting in to the Finance Manager your duties will include:
• Taking ownership of different stores creating their Balance sheet accounts
• Creating Profit and Loss accounts
• Preparing budgets and forecasts for different retail units and liaising with department heads
• Reconciling stock
• Reconciling daily cash before being banked
• Reconciliations of the bank accounts
• Posting Sales figures to the journals
• End to end Purchase Ledger You will have relevant accounting experience ideally in a retail environment. You will have a passion for accounts and have a desire to progress in your career. The successful candidate also needs to be a clear and confident communicator as you will need to liaise with different members of the business. Experience working with JD Edwards or SAP is beneficial but not needed.
