£28,000 - £33,000 (Dependant on experience and Qualifications) My Client is one of the UK's most successful professional services companies, and they are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team. They are looking for an Accountant with experience within Practice and also experience with the tasks stated below. Role and Responsibilities To manage a small portfolio of clients effectively and efficiently ensuring that the service we provide achieves the company and client expectations. To assist and support the wider team in the office & nationally with training / development & daily technical support along with all quality control within the team. The completion of year-end accounts, CT600, and Corporation Tax computations. Co-ordination and management of team leavers Co-ordination and management of team complaints Meet internal SLA's & statutory deadlines for team for VAT, Payroll, Statutory Accounts, Complaints Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients. Support in growing the business through referrals both self & team Offer bespoke accountancy, taxation and tax planning advice through 8-month reviews Advising clients in relation to IR35 and the associated implications of this legislation. Respond to client enquiries in line with the company customer promise. Manage the client relationship whilst building a strong rapport and developing client loyalty. Training, coaching and mentoring of colleagues. Quality control and file reviews of colleagues. Supporting team members with more complex accounting scenarios. Support the team, and Team Manager, to continuously deliver the agreed level of service To undertake any other duties as requested by your line manager within the scope of the role. Qualifications and Education Requirements Essential: Qualified or studying towards one of ACCA, ATT Competencies Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Accuracy & attention to detail Good time management and organisation skills First class customer service skills Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally Professional attitude Enthusiastic team player Adaptable and positive attitude to change Empathetic to clients requirements Preferred Skills Essential: Detailed knowledge of Revenue guidelines Knowledge of Investment Properties, Buy to Lets, Share dealing accounts Competent in the use of Excel, Word, and E-mail Desirable: Knowledge of IRIS software packages Practice experience Personal Qualities Professional attitude Integrity Self-motivated Affective communicator Enthusiastic team player Adaptable and positive attitude to change Dependable and reliable Confident Strong work ethic Empathetic to clients requirements This vacancy is being managed by Charlotte Roscoe at Spear Recruitment Ltd.
