Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are partnered with a growing SME business in the utilities sector. Our client is an owner managed business which has grown significantly over the last year with a turnover of of 30 million+ with high growth expectations for 2019. The projects division of the team is expanding and the Senior Business Partner will have full ownership of the numbers, providing a critical interface between Business Stream directors, Project Managers and the leadership team. This is an exciting role for an experienced Project Accountant to take the next step in their career in an autonomous setting.

Your new role
As The Senior Project Accountant you will be responsible for multiple project streams and owning project accounts. You will Partner with the Projects team to ensure they have a thorough understanding of their financial performance, to include cost drivers, local overheads and assist in developing and supporting opportunity and risk mitigation plans. You will support the month end management accounts process and the bid management process and attend the relevant Finance & Projects Reviews with the Projects Director. Managing WIP, cost accounting, profitability analysis and finance business partnering will key responsibilities in your new role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in construction, engineering or another similar discipline with strong post qualification experience. You will be able to work with a variety of non-financial and financial stakeholders, with excellent financial planning and analysis capabilities. You will enjoy continuous improvement and will have extensive experience of improving systems to support processes.


What you'll get in return
