My client requires a Management Accountant to fulfil a key role within its Finance & Commercial team at the support centre, based in Reading, Berkshire . This is a key appointment for the group and an exciting role within a business that has accelerated growth plans over the next three to four years. The company is a market leading provider of services and software to legal conveyancing firms across England. The group's business plan dictates that roles within the Finance & Commercial team will be fast-moving and varied. The Management Accountant , reporting to the Financial Controller, will have the following key areas of responsibility: Duties: General accounting tasks for the Initial period of approximately 3 months for training purposes and to acquire 'The know how'; Making sure all trackers are up to date; Producing the first draft of the Management Accounts for the main business and one other subsidiary. A critical review of the current reporting. Suggesting improvements and/or new reporting; Variance analysis; Cash flow reporting; Help in the implementation of a new accounting system; Working with other team members to clear historical errors and reconcile information; Assisting the manager in setting up the Group Finance Function; Assisting the manager in preparation of the information necessary for Audits; Suggesting improvements leading to early information preparation; Suggesting practical improvements to the current process; Qualifications and Skills: Part qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA); Must be a confident communicator both on the phone and via emails; Very good knowledge of Excel and accounting systems; Be creative and use your own initiative to suggest new ways to approach a problem; Hard working and loyal; Be an active learner and keen to progress your career; Be energetic and have an enthusiastic approach Have a good eye for detail
