Sewell Wallis are exclusively working with a fantastic manufacturing business based in Barnsley in their search for a new Head of FP&A. The FP&A function is already present in the business, however it needs the right person to grow and develop it further, to ensure it becomes a value added function within the company to help with strategic decision making. The business itself are a large, global organisation with an excellent working culture. This role will sit within their commercial finance function with a strong team of analysts below to support, one who you will directly manage. The company pride themselves on internal promotion and progression and this team are a clear example of what you can achieve within the business. Your direct line manager, the Group FD, is someone who joined the business 5 years ago and has already progressed to one of the most senior roles within the organisation. Therefore if having a motivational and inspiring manager is important to you, then this is certainly a role to consider. The Head of FP&A will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:- -Lead the FP&A function in the UK and establish it as an essential and value added function throughout the business -Provide insightful and timely information to inform strategic decision making -Provide leadership and development plans for your direct report so they can one day develop into your position -Manage and control the budget and forecasting process -Business partnering with all non-finance departments, combining financial and non-financial information to aid commercial decision making -KPI reporting to provide stakeholders with accurate information and presenting the information in weekly/monthly and quarterly meetings -Help drive key insights and analytics in operating areas to inform strategic decision making -Ad hoc strategic projects This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong commercial and analytical background who is hungry to learn more and succeed within a highly successful business. As always, industry experience would be ideal so someone from a manufacturing environment would be of interest, however my client is more concerned about the drive behind the person so other industries will be considered. You must be able to demonstrate your business partnering skills as this is a key element to the role. Please get in touch with Lucy Campbell for further information. Sewell Wallis acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers. As part of our recruitment process, we will retain your CV for a period of one year to enable us to consider you for future roles. After this period your CV will be deleted
