About the role This is a demanding role responsible for gathering, validating and reporting financial information, ensuring that the reports are accurate and produced on time to the required internal and/or external standards. You will drive best in class operational effectiveness, process efficiency and consistent high standards of data accuracy against tight deadlines fully utilising networking and benchmarking opportunities. You will have strong stakeholder management skills to share insight in a clear and concise fashion. You will maintain a strong financial control culture. The Opportunity Your main responsibilities will be: Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the UK financial statements and related systems to meet Internal and External Reporting requirements including assisting with group reporting and performing key controls. Accurately accounting for P&L premium, UPR, commission and other income, and balance sheet debt and commission creditors for the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) business and corresponding general ledgers. Working closely with GRS Premiums & Commissions Analysts and understanding the purpose and impact of all our P&L postings. Building knowledge of the UK and GRS insurance business and providing support for ad hoc requests for data to support business decisions. Managing internal finance and business stakeholders to ascertain and meet their requirements. The Individual Minimum skills and experience required Part Qualified Accountant OR Qualified Accountant Methodical and organised approach to work Problem solver EXCEL - Medium SAP - Advantageous but not essential Good communication skills Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting procedures and consistently achieve, on time delivery.
