The key responsibilities of this role are to assist in the development of the company's data assets to enable effective use of data by the Personal Lines pricing teams. It will involve a blend of programming and the automation / setup of data processes within the department. The role sits within the recently restructured Risk Pricing team within the Personal Lines Pricing & Underwriting department. The team as a whole are responsible for the development and maintenance of risk cost models across all UK Personal Lines business. The role will report into a data consultant, who in turn reports into the overall leader of this team. The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge and experience of SAS software, Prior experience of working with data within a general insurance pricing team would be ideal but is not a pre-requisite. Responsibilities Building on existing personal lines data assets, primarily through the development and improvement of existing SAS and SQL programs, to enable the best possible data for use in pricing reviews. The successful applicant will need to be organized and naturally detail-focused, with a strong interest and demonstrable prior experience of programming - ideally in SAS. An ability to work with others to understand business needs, tailoring their solutions to meet these needs is also a pre-requisite.
