We have an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Contract Supervisor to join our client's offices based in Coalville on a temporary contract basis for 3 months with the possibility of extension. The main focus of the role will be on Landlords Health and Safety in a Social Housing context. This covers, but not limited, to Gas Safety, and safety of other heating appliances, Asbestos management, Water Safety, Electrical Safety and Fire Risk. The ability to organise remedial work arising from those inspections will be required. Some knowledge of developing systems to record compliance across these areas, prior to a new Housing system being implemented, would be an advantage. This is an important and challenging area of work for the Housing Directorate which will be supported by the management team. As the Compliance Contract Supervisor, your main duties will include: To aid the team in undertaking, and recording, the following, potential, types of surveys of the Council's housing stock, offices and managed schemes: Asbestos Type 1 and 2 Domestic Energy Assessments (producing Energy Performance Certificates) National Register of Social Housing (NRoSH) Housing, Health & Safety Ratings System (HHSRS) Property attributes, components, products and materials Component Life spans and conditions Major repairs and works Decent Homes Standard Energy Efficiency (Standard Assessment Procedure - SAP) NWLDC's Certificates of Safe Environment Recording survey findings will be by hard copy forms or through use of mobile working technology, as directed. To ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the planned/cyclical maintenance and improvements programmes of works, including site surveys, drawings, specifications, and contract documentation, as required by the Planned Investment Manager. To provide technical advice to the Planned Investment Manager, prepare reports and attend meetings (including occasional evenings) as required. To ensure that all activities are completed in accordance with Building regulations and the HASAWA. To be successful for this role, you will need to have: ONC BUILDING STUDIES or CIH/CIB Level 4 Certificate in Housing Maintenance, or recognised industry equivalent NEBOSH/IOSH certificate in Managing safety, or recognised industry equivalent Detailed knowledge of CDM regulations Experience of property inspection, and reporting, in property maintenance or construction sectors Experience in a supervisory position Experience of property inspection, and reporting, in social housing improvements, planned and cyclical maintenance A full UK driving license Your working hours will be: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:00 Pay rate: £20.88 per hour PAYE Disclaimer: By applying for this role, you give consent for your information to be forwarded to our Client(s) and information of which may be retained within our databases
