A highly visible opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Finance Manager to join our rapidly expanding Finance Team based in Reading. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide financial management and control for transactional recruitment focused business unit units within Capita Resourcing - a leading provider of outsourced recruitment for both public and private sector, turning over c£800m Provide financial leadership and financial insight to commercial discussions - business partnering with the Director and Senior Stakeholders of relevant business units Implement appropriate levels of cost control and help increase income across the businesses Managing 1x management accountants to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery of service while developing team members along their financial careers in Capita Support the financial controller to report on time, accurately and with sufficient business insight to Divisional and Group finance teams each month and for internal and external auditors SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Full end to end month end delivery including financial reporting and business issues within the tight month end schedule including Business Unit Reviews, forecasting and pertinent analysis to drive performance. Lead and develop key KPI tracking measures and challenge consultant/workstream performance Project lead on process changes/project implementations Lead monthly forecasting and financial review meetings and analyse performance of the business Streamline and improve back office and finance processes on a continual basis Key contact for group finance on any issues (sales/purchase ledger, management accounts) Manage working capital for the business so that maximum levels of positive cash flow are achieved Ensure that cost base is aligned with the needs of the business, in terms of resourcing, commission structures and overhead costs Assist in external & internal audits and ensure all aspects of compliance and control are met Proactively work to support other members of the finance team and lead on any specific adhoc projects KEY CLIENTS (INTERNAL / EXTERNAL) Local MD's and their management teams Group and divisional finance and management teams Internal audit and risk management team External Clients and their relevant teams Candidates External Auditors PEOPLE MANAGEMENT 2 Assistant management accountants SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Experience in recruitment helpful Experience in plc environment helpful Good written / oral communication skills Ability to present and challenge at Director / Business Manager level with insightful information Leadership in commercial discussions / negotiations Business planning, forecasting and bid modeling CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified accountant Self-starter with hands on approach able to work with high degree of independence Microsoft packages (Word / Excel) to Visual Basic (macro) programming level SAP / SRC - at a standard to train others within the business At Capita, training and development aren't optional extras: they're how we do our job.
