We have an exciting new role within our vibrant Manchester city centre office for a Risk Analyst. The Group's organisational model involves delivery of the risk management framework through governance, risk and compliance teams in each country. Group Risk is responsible for defining the framework, coordinating and developing risk governance and reporting, as well as partnering with group functions. This includes risk and control assessment, incident reporting, action management, policy oversight and risk committee reporting. The role holder will be a key member of the Group Finance team, responsible for co-ordinating and delivering the consolidated Group accounts for Arrow Global Group PLC on a quarterly basis, including the interim accounts and full year end annual report and accounts. This will involve full responsibility for populating the final documents (with input from stakeholders around the business) and co-ordinating their review and approval. Additionally, the role holder will co-ordinate and manage the interim review and full year end audit process with the external auditors, by managing their requests, co-ordinating internal resources and applying judgement to move past blockers that may arise in the process. Responsibilities The Risk Analyst will support the business across four main dimensions: i) Directly support the Group Risk team in the development of the risk management framework and the Group-wide implementation and maintenance of the risk management system, including working on a daily basis with the Group Enterprise and Operational Risk team. ii) Work with Group colleagues in all functions to set and maintain standards for data quality, MI and reporting from RADAR. This includes setting up and adapting dashboards and reports as required by the Group teams. iii) As directed, enable the Country Risk teams to deploy and embed the reporting and MI capabilities of RADAR through training, partnering in technical developments and, if required, spending time onsite in any of Arrow's key business locations. iv) Support group-wide initiatives as required on a project or ad-hoc basis. The key responsibilities of the role are:
• development and maintenance of dashboards, reports and workflows;
• execution of exception reports;
• monitoring and analysing usage of the system;
• maintaining user profiles;
• maintaining system and process documentation; As the Group's risk management framework matures and becomes more stable, the Risk Analyst role will provide additional support in facilitating execution of the wider framework and reporting activities, as well as subsequent framework implementations into new areas of the Group. Expertise The role holder will have experience of working within a 2nd line risk function and/or data analysis, with database, reporting and ideally application maintenance and configuration skills. They will have a strong foundation of database and spreadsheet skills. Desirable skills include end-user application maintenance, process documentation, data governance and use of reporting and presentation packages. Experience The role holder is expected to be analytical and able to deal with both abstract concepts and structured information, including uncertainty and judgement. The role holder will need to be able to deal with complex workflows and be comfortable in configuring the risk system, interrogating data within complex hierarchies and presenting information in a range of digestible and visual forms to make things simple for business users. Impact The role will have an impact across the Group through development and maintenance of the risk management system, production of analysis and insight etc., including setting the standards for application across the Group. Other Some travel across the Group within Europe may be required to support the risk system implementation, its embedding and ongoing development.
