Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant role for a successful manufacturing business in Doncaster. As the Assistant Accountant, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller and be given a broad range of duties and exposure from the get go along with a supportive mentor who is keen to ensure the successful candidate has the right opportunities to progress and grow with the business. Some of your duties as Assistant Accountant will include: Assisting with month-end processes and Management Accounts Stakeholder management Providing commentary on accounts Month end duties; accruals, prepayments, journals etc. Balance sheet reconciliations Month-end and ad-hoc reporting as required by management Oversee and assist in the completion of all bank account reconciliations Ensure correct calculation and submissions to HMRC Monthly reconciliation of inter-company accounts with other group companies Quarterly preparation of VAT returns Ad-hoc payment request processing Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Packs Processing inter-company Journals As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will be able to demonstrate the following: Studying towards ACCA/CIMA (Desirable) A comprehensive understanding of accounting systems and the interaction of ledgers is required Strong Excel skills are required (Look Ups, Pivots etc.) Confident communicator both verbally and written Flexibility to match working hours to department demand If you meet the criteria for this role and are interested in being put forward, please do not hesitate to apply or contact me to discuss.
