NXTGEN are working with an internationally trading SME based in Cambridge as they look to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work within the Tech sector and join a business with ambition. As Finance Manager you will run the day to day accounting team, managing a small team of 2 responsible for all transactional activities, whilst delivering the month end figures for the Finance Director. The role will be broad and all encompassing, with the successful candidate also supporting technical accounting requirements. Key responsibilities of the role will include: - Delivery on the month end management accounts and board packs, with accompanying commentary - Preparation of budgets and monitoring of performance vs plan with project leads - Cashflow forecasting and cash management, providing FD with insight on cash position - Preparation of VAT and tax returns - Identify opportunities to utilise grant funding for R&D The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), although QBE candidates with significant experience in a similar role are also encouraged to apply. Prior experience managing small teams is desirable combined with experience working within an internationally trading business. Excellent Excel skills are advantageous and candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills to work across the business.
